Recharging

As all of my last few posts have reported on racing or crazy training events, it's safe to say that is what we have been up to!

While Shane & I are more than happy with the progress we have both made, PR's in our races we are also starting to feel the effects. It's a tough one. Tell the coach to back down, or suck it up and keep going?!

Well, thankfully we have a trip coming up in a couple days and even though the coach has a run/open water swim on the schedule for EVERY.SINGLE.DAY... we are going to "edit" that just a leetle bit.

See, thing is something about the ocean air, the sandy beach, the juicy shrimp and cold cervesas - it's just what my body is calling for. To top it off, we have some VERY special friends joining us and I couldn't be MORE thrilled.

First off my girl Shelby and her husband Tall Matt are coming all the way from Seattle to play with us. Shelby was there on my first or second ever trip to RP for the triathlon/10k like 7 years ago. I've been DYING to get her back. And, it just so happens that Matt signed up for Ironman Cozumel so of course I used that as a ploy to get them to Mexico. You know cause we can practice ocean swimming and running in the heat and everything.

Can't WAIT Shelb!

To join us for a couple of days Angie, my very first friend from AZ is coming. She & Shelby were roommates for a bit while Shelby lived in AZ. They were playing hard when I was in the newlywed stage - so I didn't play too much. I think I might have some making up to do this weekend. Just sayin....

My girl Amanda is also going to join us. I am so lucky to have met her just a few weeks ago when she joined us in Rocky Point for the tri. Now we've been riding together every week and it's always so great to have another person out there with you! I'm not sure if she knows what she's in for... but she's soon to find out!

So - as you can see I am beyond excited. My body is tired, and my mind is more than ready for my second home. My place. Bub's beach......

I hope that instead of feeling like this....

We will be spending our time like this......

and this...

And we will come back rested, recharged, bendered and ready for Deuces Wild Triathlon on June 5th!

And of course - the dogs are crazy excited to be at their favorite place in the world... with all the ladies :-)
